Archiving Policy

The Physicians' Review is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of all published content. To maintain the integrity and availability of our scholarly record, the journal has implemented the following archiving and preservation measures:

  1. Digital Preservation
All published articles are securely stored in digital formats using reliable archiving systems. This ensures that the journal’s content remains accessible even if the journal’s website or platform experiences technical issues or discontinuation.

  2. Third-Party Archiving Services
The journal partners with recognized digital preservation services such as LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and Portico, which provide decentralized preservation of electronic journal content.

  3. Backup and Redundancy
Regular backups of all journal content are performed and stored in multiple secure locations. This redundancy protects against accidental loss or corruption of data.

  4. Access Continuity
In the event of changes to the journal’s hosting or management, archived content will continue to be accessible to readers and researchers without interruption.

  5. Permanent Identifiers
Published articles are assigned persistent identifiers such as DOIs (Digital Object Identifiers) to ensure consistent and permanent access.

  6. Open Access and Self-Archiving
Authors and readers are encouraged to deposit articles in institutional or subject repositories in accordance with the journal’s open-access policy, further supporting content preservation.
